Visitor can be used free of charge for 6 months, after which a nominal fee is payable annually which extends your licence to use the software and enables you to download free product updates. What's more, it integrates with the new website www.the-hotel-network.com to provide instant on-line availability checking and room booking, with secure credit card prepayment and electronic confirmations - we call it realtime booking.

You don't have to pay to start using realtime booking either. All it costs is a small commission on each booking payment taken through the website. Commission rates are competitive and will vary depending on the size of hotel or chain using this facility. You can enable or disable realtime booking at any time.

If you don't have any hotel management software, the decision is simple - Visitor is what you need. And even if you do, you have nothing to lose by trying Visitor. Why not run it alongside your existing system - we think you'll be converted.

People visiting the site can use all its facilities at no cost, and hotels anywhere in the world can also have their details listed without charge.

As a hotelier, you control the information that is shown for your hotel(s) - you can log in and amend your hotel details at any time and the changes will be made instantly. This enables you to include information on special promotions, room upgrades, etc.

How Realtime Booking Works

When someone enquires about room availability on the website, the website dials the Visitor system at the hotel in question, to request the information. On receiving the information, the website hangs up and relays what it received to the person making the enquiry.

Assuming a suitable room is available, the user is then given the option of making a guaranteed pre-paid booking using a major credit or debit card. If they decide to make a booking, their details are taken and then the website dials the hotel Visitor system again, this time to confirm the room. If the room is still available, the website confirms the booking, carries out an on-line credit card authorisation and transmits the guest details to the Visitor system before hanging up. Payment is then forwarded to the hotel, less commission, via BACS transfer.

If the credit card authorisation was refused for any reason, the website dials the hotel Visitor system again and cancels the booking.
